Polk Correctional Facility is an adult detention facility is operated by the Seminole County Sheriff under the authority of the State of Florida. The Seminole County Jail houses up to 1400 male and female inmates, US Marshal Service detainees, state inmates of all custody levels, Parole and probation violators, and those awaiting trial, sentencing, or transfer to the Florida Department of Corrections or the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
